THE ACF PROVIDES FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR PEOPLE, FAMILIES, COMMUNITY GROUPS AND ORGANISATIONS IN THE GREAT SOUTHERN WA. tHERE ARE 3 APPLICATION types and FORMS:

 
 
 
 

APPLICATION FORMS ARE COMPLETED AND SUBMITTED ONLINE, AND A LOGIN NEEDS TO BE CREATED TO ACCESS THE FORMS. THERE IS NO OBLIGATION TO COMPLETE A FORM IF YOU CREATE A LOGIN, AND YOU CAN PREVIEW THE FORMS, EXIT THE PORTAL AT ANY TIME, save and return later, OR SUBMIT A QUERY. AGENCY APPLICATION FORM

This funding stream is only available to organisations that are an Albany based registered charity and who hold a current DGR 1 registration.  These organistions must be applying for funds on behalf of an individual (the 'applicant') who they are currently providing case management services to.  100% of granted funds must be applied to support the applicant's needs.  Agencies are not permitted to use these funds for their own costs. 

To be eligible to access this funding on behalf of a person (referred to in this form as the 'applicant') your organisation must be an Albany based registered charity with DGR 1 status and the request must satisfy all six of the following criteria.

  1. The applicant is living within the Great Southern and is engaged with an Albany based service agency (this can include any outreach services they offer).

  2. The applicant is currently facing necessitous circumstances.

  3. The applicant lacks the financial capacity to meet the request themselves.

  4. The requested item(s) are identified as a gap in other funding.

  5. The applicant has demonstrated a willingness to help themselves.

  6. The request is fair and reasonable.

  7. Funds are not to be given directly to the applicant; funds must be spent by the agency on behalf of the applicant.

 

INDIVIDUAL APPLICATION FORM

This funding stream is available to individuals who can demonstrate their request is to help maintain a basic standard of living, who lack the financial ability to meet the request themselves, and who can provide evidence there is no other source of funding available to them.  Applicants must also meet other specific criteria contained within the application.  Specific exclusions include ongoing medical treatment, dental health (including dentures), payment of fines, penalties or infringements and any form of legal action including past, present or future. 

To be eligible to access this funding you must be able to answer 'yes' to all of the following questions (criteria):

  1. You are living within the Great Southern Region.

  2. You are currently facing necessitous circumstances. (This term is further explained within the application)

  3. You lack the financial ability to meet this request yourself.

  4. You have identified your request as being a necessity for an everyday basic standard of living.

  5. You have identified that your request cannot be funded by anyone else, including Albany based service providers (who may also provide outreach services in the Great Southern). Examples include Anglicare WA, PIVOT Support Services, Albany Youth Support Association, Palmerston etc.

  6. You can demonstrate a willingness to help yourself.

  7. The request is fair and reasonable.


You must also be willing to provide your income details and declare an estimate of your assets and liabilities.

 

COMMUNITY APPLICATION FORM

This funding stream is available to all Albany based community organistions, registered charities and existing agency groups.  Examples include sporting clubs, schools, community groups, associations or clubs, registered charities, or service agencies like Anglicare, PIVOT and AYSA etc. Your organisation must be able to demonstrate your activities are supporting the everyday basic needs of our community and have a specific funding requirement to cover new initiatives, the purchase of plant & equipment, project funding, or similar.  Specific exclusions from funding include retrospective funding or reimbursements and ongoing operational costs such as wages, rent or electricity. 

To be eligible to access this funding your organisation must satisfy all of the following 6 criteria.

  1. Be an Albany based community organisation, charity, school, sporting club or similar.

  2. The underlying outcomes of your request are primarily servicing the needs of individuals who are facing necessitous circumstances.

  3. Your request is to help deliver outcomes that service the everyday basic needs of our community.

  4. Your request is an identified gap in other funding.

  5. Your organisation lacks the financial capacity to meet the request internally.

  6. The request is fair and reasonable.


Specific exclusions from funding include:

  1. Retrospective funding or reimbursements.

  2. Ongoing operational costs such as wages, rent or electricity.

  3. Fines, infringements, or penalties.

  4. Any form of legal action, proposed, current or past.

HOW MUCH CAN I APPLY FOR? 

There is no fixed amount you can apply for, we assess every application on a case by case basis.

HOW OFTEN CAN I APPLY?

It is not the intent of ACF for any individual or organisation to become reliant on ongoing funding. Whilst we may consider multiple applications from the same entity, the need for funding and outcome must be clearly demonstrated.

The application criteria will become significantly more onerous for multiple applications. 

HOW LONG DOES MY APPLICATION TAKE?

All applications will be acknowledged on receipt.

We endeavour to assess applications as soon as possible, and it can be a matter of days or weeks depending on the content, the value of the request, and the urgency of the request.

Delays may occur if insufficient or incorrect information is submitted.

If your application is urgent we would request that you detail your reasons on your application and the due date you require funding. ACF will endeavour to accommodate you in these circumstances. 

ACF reserves the right to request more information and verify all information provided.

Reasons may not be given for unsuccessful applications. Once a decision regarding the application is made no further discussion or correspondence will be entered in to.
